My name is Stijn
This is my home. Far, far away from civilization.
Here, I punch away on my keyboard, looking for cutting edge research to piece together into something of practical value. Solving the research puzzle, so to say.
Once every 116 hours I will stop my work and walk 56 miles to the closest gas station. Once there, I access the wi-fi and report my findings to the world.
However, I want to make sure that it’s understandable and digestible to the greater public. In other words, I aim to bridge the gap between dull science and practical application. This is why I incorporate a bunch of visuals and infographics in my articles.
Credentials and mission
Now let’s talk credentials… I have a BSc degree in Kinesiology (Human Movement Sciences) and hold a NASM PT certificate. However, I don’t want to stress these too much. I would like my articles to speak for my credibility.
My mission? Helping women get the most out of their fitness & health efforts, by providing evidence-based content on training, nutrition, and lifestyle. Why this focus on women, you ask?
Well…
There is a shift happening in research. This shift acknowledges that women are physiologically – especially hormonally – very different from men. Because of this, other training and nutrition principles apply. Let me help you attain your goals by providing you with insights of this novel path in science.
